Saturn 9-17-2002 5:20am
Ultima 9.25" SCT paired with a Televue 2.5X Powermate. (effectively f/25) Recorded a 1177 frame .avi file at 30 fps with a Philips Vesta Pro webcam at 640x480 full color resolution. Recording obtained at approximately 5:20 am on 9-17-2002.
Selected the 109 sharpest frames with Avi2Bmp shareware. This was the toughest part of the job. Aligned and stacked the 109 frames with Astrostack shareware. No further image modifications applied with Astrostack.
Adjusted levels, color saturation, maybe a little color balance, then ran Unsharp Mask followed by Gaussian Blur with Adobe Photoshop 5.0LE to get final result. Don't remember exact parameters used in the Unsharp Mask and Gaussian Blur modes.
